For our intermediate and advanced students, I also highly recommend continuing regular private instrument lessons while adding one weekly musicianship lesson with Vivace piano faculty members.
This weekly lesson can combine: Rehearsal & Collaborative Piano + Stage Performance + Ear Training & Music Theory
Rather than working with a pianist only shortly before a recital, regular collaborative training helps students develop stronger audition skills, stage performance, rhythm and listening skills, ensemble coordination, musical interpretation, and music theory knowledge. It can be especially valuable when preparing for competitions, exams, auditions, recordings, and recitals.
We hope these opportunities will help our students prepare successfully for the upcoming Vivace Student Recitals while building the broader musicianship skills that support their long-term musical development. We look forward to seeing everyone on the Vivace Stage!
