YeeJin Yuk

Piano Faculty

YeeJin Yuk is a pianist from Ghent, NY. Since starting his studies at the age of six at the Colburn School of Music in Los Angeles, CA, music has taken YeeJin around the country from attending the New England Conservatory Prep in Boston, MA to completing his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at Rice University in Houston, TX. As the former Principal Keyboard of the Shepherd School Symphony at Rice University, YeeJin has pursued his love of collaborative music through performances at Bowdoin and Blossom International Music Festivals, as well as
in Houston and the Berkshires. YeeJin has collaborated with principal members of The Cleveland Orchestra, American String Quartet, Chiara String Quartet, and the Fischer Duo.


YeeJin is also the founder of SkySpace, a platform connecting artists with patrons of the arts and unconventional venues. SkySpace recently won the Frank Liu Jr. Prize for Creative Innovations in Arts, Music, and Fashion at the 2022 Napier Rice Launch Challenge for student and alumni ventures. YeeJin is a graduate of Rice University (‘20, ‘22), where he studied with Brian Connelly and Jeanne Kierman Fischer. YeeJin splits his time away from the piano
conducting biofeedback research in musicians and enjoying Houston’s tacos, basketball, and weather.
