Omeed Manshouri is a dedicated violist who enjoys a diverse career as both a performer and a teacher. A native of Houston, he honed his early musical skills at the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. Omeed's professional journey has taken him to New York, Hartford, and Houston, where he has performed with esteemed ensembles including the Brazos Valley Symphony, Brazosport Symphony Orchestra, Lake Charles Symphony, Baton Rouge Symphony, Garden State Philharmonic, International Chamber Orchestra of America, and Manhattan Symphonie.
Omeed's performances have graced prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Bushnell Performing Arts Center, and Jones Hall. He has also been a featured guest artist with the Terra Nostra Ensemble and the Westheimer String Quartet. His summers are often spent performing at renowned music festivals across the United States, Germany, and Italy.
Trained by some of the most skilled and inspiring teachers in the country, Omeed is passionate about passing on his knowledge. He enjoys working with students of all ages, believing that learning a musical instrument offers a unique opportunity for personal growth that extends beyond music.
Omeed holds a master's degree from Mannes College in New York, where he studied under Daniel Panner, violist of the Mendelssohn String Quartet. He also earned a graduate professional diploma from the Hartt School of Music in Connecticut under soloist Rita Porfiris, and a bachelor's degree from the Moores School of Music, where he studied with Wayne Brooks, principal violist of the Houston
