Martín García León
Piano Faculty & Conductor
Martín García León is an accomplished orchestral conductor, pianist, and educator with international experience across Latin America, Europe, and Asia. Currently based in Houston, Texas, he served as a tenured professor at the Instituto Universitario Patagónico de las Artes (I.U.P.A.) in Argentina, where he taught piano, chamber music, music theory, and led orchestral rehearsals. He has conducted prestigious ensembles including the Saint Petersburg Symphony Orchestra, Moravian Philharmonic, and the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet, among others. García León is renowned for his leadership in socially impactful musical projects, such as a national choral initiative during the COVID-19 pandemic that brought music education and emotional support to seniors across Argentina.
Holding a Master of Music in Orchestral Conducting from the University of Houston and an MBA from Universidad Europea del Atlántico, Martín blends artistic excellence with strategic leadership and a commitment to community engagement. He is fluent in five languages and has been recognized with numerous awards, including first place at the Classical Music Stars Conducting Competition and selection among Argentina’s top emerging conductors.
